FYA Webinar on Group Homes Wed Dec 16 at 4 PM Pacific
Group homes are a hot topic in Washington DC, and an issue many foster youth leaders care deeply about. In this timely webinar you’ll hear from foster youth advocates with CALIFORNIA YOUTH CONNECTION and FLORIDA YOUTH SHINE about their group home policy advocacy campaigns and what motivated them to act. YOUTH LAW CENTER Staff Attorney Alice Bussiere is also joining us with updates and lessons on other state-based efforts to reform group homes. Finally, Child Welfare Policy expert Sean Hughes breaks down how legislation now being proposed by Federal law makers could really impact group homes across the US. Any foster youth leader or adult ally who cares about this issue is welcome to participate. We want to hear from you!
