Pacific Opera Project

July 29, 2019

“This week marks nine years since POP’s very first performance — Trouble in Tahiti! We started with a piano, a fold up set that easily fit in a pickup truck, five singers, and not much else. Here we are 35 productions later!

We’ll delve into POP’s history a little more over the next few days, but here is a concise look at the history of all opera in Los Angeles. We’re proud to make the list of ‘companies that have sprung up that have redefined the way audiences experience opera in Los Angeles.'”

Echoes of Hope

July 23, 2019

” EOH Leaders of Tomorrow inspiring students! Christina spoke to 3 classes of incoming freshmen at ICEF View Park Prep High School to share her story of growing up in their neighborhood (South LA) and being formerly incarcerated, a sex trafficking victim, and a former foster youth. Christina taught them about resilience and how it is a gift that they all hold within them that’ll carry them to greatness.

The students engaged in activities to realize their commonalities and explore the way they view themselves and what they bring to the world.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Thank you so much to Christina for inspiring these youth and sharing her story with them, and thank you to ICEF Public Schools for having us again!”
