Italian American Museum of Los Angeles

The mission of the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles is to foster understanding of Southern California’s diverse heritage through research, historic preservation, exhibitions and educational programs that examine the history and continuing contributions of Italian Americans in multi-ethnic Los Angeles and the United States.

HEAT, a health initiative created by the IAMLA, stands for Healthy Eating Ambassadors in Training. The initiative aims to address the epidemic of obesity in Los Angeles County by encouraging healthy eating and exercising habits.
The purpose of the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles is to maintain and preserve the history and culture of the Italian American community within the City of Los Angeles

The IAMLA will feature exhibitions and a variety of cultural-educational programming. It will welcome an estimated two million visitors of all origins annually, including 300,000 students.
Taste of Italy is a festival that brings authentic Italian food and wine to the people of Los Angeles, while benefiting the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles.
