“It can be very isolating in the hospital. I love Beauty Bus because it fills the void of the isolation. It makes them feel like a person and not just a patient.”

Anaheim Ballet
An update from a previous grant recipient – Anaheim Ballet. Isn’t it wonderful to see their “pay it forward” attitude and example!!
It was great dancing yesterday for Sandy Segerstrom and her Festival of Children Charity. We’ve worked with Sandy for many years. Her niece, Rayell Segerstrom (dressed in blue), trained with us and now sits on our board of directors.
How rewarding to have so many hundreds of people stop their frenzied shopping and stand mesmerized by classical dance. Sandy told me she felt that each person in the audience was visibly impacted by the nobility and carriage onstage.
That’s so important to us, to inspire.
And I love having our dancers learn at an early age how important it is to “give back,” performing anywhere for everyone. Some of yesterday’s dancers were Anaheim Ballet scholarship students, and they’re learning that it’s always possible to give and serve through the arts.
Best,
Larry
